Payment & Healthcare Benefits
Payment is due at the end of each session, and payable by credit card or email transfer. You will receive a receipt for services rendered, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement or retain for income tax purposes.
Psychological services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). However, many extended health insurance plans reimburse partial or all of the costs associated with psychological services. Fees not reimbursed can be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax return.
Extended health carriers differ in what kind of coverage they provide, you are encouraged to check with your insurer if psychological services are covered and whether a referral from a primary care physician is required for fees to be reimbursed.
Fees are consistent with the recommended guidelines set forth by the Ontario Psychological Association.
Should there be any changes to fees, you will be provided with at least 30 days notice.

Methods of Payment
Fees are payable by credit card, cash, or email transfer. Invoices are emailed within 5 business days of your session.
Clinically related telephone or video calls and letters outside of treatment sessions that require more than 10 minutes will be billed at a prorated hourly rate.
Cancellation Policy
Please be advised that Umzi Psychology reserves the right to bill you the full rate for a missed session with less than a 24-hour cancellation notice.
